Digital Scavenger Hunt

A Digital Scavenger Hunt for LA Game Con is an interactive activity that encourages attendees to explore the event while completing fun, tech-based challenges. Participants use their smartphones or tablets to find specific booths, sessions, or hidden clues throughout the venue. Each task may involve scanning QR codes, taking photos, answering trivia questions about gaming culture, or engaging with exhibitors and panels.

As participants complete challenges, they earn points, badges, or entries into prize drawings, creating a sense of friendly competition and engagement. The scavenger hunt not only enhances the attendee experience but also promotes networking, discovery of event highlights, and active participation across the convention.

Cosplay Competition

  • DREAMBASH COSPLAY CONTEST RULES

    Three categories, $350 in prizes. Read the rules, fill out your form, and show up in your cosplay.

    Eligibility

    • Must have a ticket to LA Game Con Edu on May 9th, 2026

    • One sign-up per person (you can be considered for multiple categories with one entry)

    Sign-Up

    • This form must be submitted prior to the judging period on May 9th

    • Late entries will not be considered

    Categories

    • DREAM COSPLAY: Best overall cosplay, picked by the DREAMBASH team

    • AURA COSPLAY: The cosplay that most embodies its character's aura, vibe, and presence

    • ORIGINAL COSPLAY: The most original concept, build, or interpretation

    One contestant can win in only one category.

    Judging

    • Judging takes place after the cosplay contest period on May/9

    • Contestants must check in with the DREAMBASH Cosplay Contest staff

    • Judging is done by the DREAMBASH team. 

    • Winners will be announced after the judging period

    Costume Guidelines

    • Costume must be worn during check-in and judging

    • No real weapons. Prop weapons must be clearly fake and peace-bonded if requested by venue staff

    • No costumes that block walkways, exits, or restrict your own mobility in a crowded venue

    • Self-made, commissioned, and store-bought are all welcome. Just be honest about it if asked.

    • Nothing that violates the venue's dress code or DREAMBASH's community standards - Community, Openness, Diversity, Empowerment (C.O.D.E.) 

    Prizes ($350 total pool)

    • DREAM COSPLAY: $150 winner

    • AURA COSPLAY: $100 winner

    • ORIGINAL COSPLAY: $100 winner

    Conduct

    • Treat other cosplayers, DREAMBASH staff, venue staff and people with respect

    • Harassment, unsportsmanlike behavior, or rule-breaking results in disqualification and possible removal from the event

    • DREAMBASH reserves the right to refuse or disqualify any contestant for any reason

    Photo & Video Release By entering, you agree that DREAMBASH may photograph and film your cosplay for promotional, social, and archival use across @DREAMBASHWORLD and DREAMBASH channels.
