17 year esports fan, sponsored World of Warcraft competitor in 2010, 6 year music educator, and 6 years esports educator. I’ve worked on esports projects with the Irvine Unified School District, Orange County Department of Education, NASEF, CUE, and Irvine Valley College. I am currently consulting for Evergreen Valley College, with the Business and Workforce Development office, to develop a gaming effort, and create a proposal with the Bay Area Community College Consortium, to deliver socialemotional/career exploration to all Bay Area gamer students. I believe community gaming and esports has the power to give a deep sense of belonging to the largest disenfranchised demographic on our campuses... gamers.
